Note: first make sure that you have Java on your machine. If you have not, download and install it from java.sun.com .

After setup files downloaded, run "setup" program for installation the software step by step. The first step is license agreement. In next step user Information form is filled.

ATTENTION !! : YOU MUST SET YOUR "IP DEPENDENT SERIAL NUMBER" IN THIS STEP. IF YOU DON'T SET A PROPER VALUE YOUR SOFTWARE WILL INSTALL BUT WONT RUN PROPERLY.

The next step is choosing target directory and the next one is choosing WWW root directory. In this step you can select your www root directory. GlassRoom(R) applet will be placed in this location after installation. Then you can test your chat system and invoke chat client by opening http://localhost/GlassRoom/index.html in your browser.

ATTENTION !! : BECAUSE OF APPLET SECURITY ISSUES YOU CAN NOT LOAD APPLET PAGE DIRECTLY FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE. INSTEAD YOU CAN OPEN HTTP://LOCALHOST/GlassRoom/index.html IN YOUR BROWSER ON SERVER OR HTTP://<SERVERADDRESS>/GlassRoom/index.html FROM ANY MACHINE.

ATTENTION !! : BECAUSE OF APPLET SECURITY ISSUES YOU MUST PLACE THE APPLET IN YOUR CHAT SERVER MACHINE AND YOU CAN NOT PLACE APPLET IN ANY OTHER MACHINES.

HINT: YOU ONLY CAN PLACE APPLET BASE IN SERVER MACHINE BUT YOU CAN PLACE APPLET HTML TAG ANY WHERE. IN THIS WAY YOU MUST SET APPLET TAG'S "CODEBASE" PARAMETER TO PROPER URL.

The next step is choosing program folder. At last files will copy to your drive.

NOTE : If you want to re-install chat software, before installation of new version you MUST stop previous chat server.
